Experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a large mainstream primary school in the Maidstone area for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a long‑term position starting in June 2026.

There is a highly competitive rate of pay which is £95 per day, for working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm. Working days are Monday‑Friday term time only.

Requirements:

• Supporting a pupil with ASD (Autism), who needs a lot of 1:1 support both in and out of class
• Using your experience of effective behaviour management. Resilience, patience and calmness are what the school are looking for.
• Understanding of Autism and experience working with adults or children with similar support needs.
• Advantageous of holding a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Additional duties as defined by the class teacher.
• Willingness to provide lunch cover on occasions.
• Any experience with SEN, through work or personal experience is advantageous.
