Job Overview
Sutton Valence School is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and inspirational teacher to teach Physics from September 2026 on a one‑term fixed term contract. The candidate will promote high standards of teaching and learning, innovate, support departmental development, and provide outstanding pupil pastoral care.
About UsSutton Valence School (SVS) has been inspiring pupils since 1576. It is a co‑educational day and boarding school for ages two to 18, based in the historic village of Sutton Valence, Kent. With about 560 pupils in the senior school and 260 in the prep school, 20% of senior pupils are boarders. SVS values individuality, mutual respect and strives to support every child’s educational journey.
The school is a member of HMC, BSA, IAPS and ISBA.
- Teach engaging Physics curriculum as part of KS3 and KS4 double award, and general Science to juniors.
- Cater to a broad ability range through effective differentiation.
- Promote excellent organisational and time‑management skills, leading and working as part of a team.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring a pupil‑centred teaching style.
