  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and reasonable adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently as a freelancer while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Working pattern:

The role is part‑time, freelance and hybrid. The expected workload is 10 hours per week, including approximately 4 hours of teaching, 3 hours of marking and learner feedback, and 3 hours of preparation, resource development, learner support and quality‑related activities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching sessions in line with the curriculum and awarding body requirements.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, learner activities and assessment guidance.
  • Assess learner work against relevant criteria and provide clear written feedback.
  • Support learners with SEN, inclusion needs and reasonable adjustments.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and professional practice throughout delivery.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, assessment decisions and feedback logs.
  • Support internal quality assurance processes where required.
  • Attend occasional standardisation, team or quality meetings.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching materials and learner experience.
  • Collaborate with awarding bodies (e.g. OTHM)
Person specification:
