6. Paid at Key Stage 3/4 rates and includes dedicated Personal PPA Time.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and committed Higher Learning Teaching Assistant to join our school on a part-time basis covering PPA 5 mornings and 1 afternoon. This includes your own PPA time.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities for classes to cover PPA for class teacher release.
• Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment and mark all PPA cover lesson work for the class.
• Assess the needs of our pupils, using your detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• A Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent experience) with knowledge acquired through training and experience at the professional standard specified for HLTA status.
• Experience of working with children of relevant age within a learning environment.
• An understanding of National Curriculum requirements in relation to specialist area (e.g. additional needs, curriculum area), including planning, preparing and delivering programmes of learning activities to groups and classes.
