Setting: SEND School
Inspire, Support and Transform Lives
Are you a passionate and nurturing teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are currently working with a highly supportive SEND school seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils who require a personalised approach to learning, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically within a safe and nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating positive learning experiences for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.
The Role
As a Nurture Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.
Develop positive relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience, and social skills.
Implement behaviour support strategies and nurture principles throughout the school day.
Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where required.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Has experience working within SEND, Alternative Provision, specialist settings, or mainstream education with additional needs.
Demonstrates a nurturing and trauma-informed approach to teaching.
Has strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
Is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners.
Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
What the School Offers
A welcoming and supportive leadership team.
Small class sizes and excellent staff-to-pupil ratios.
Continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Access to specialist resources and therapeutic support.
Opportunities for career progression within a growing SEND provision.
A rewarding role where you can see the direct impact of your work every day.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a school that places children at the heart of everything they do. If you are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you
