Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity from September?

A successful Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Kent is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of English to join its established English department on a part-time, fixed-term basis covering maternity leave
.

This is a 3-day-per-week position and would be an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to join a supportive and collaborative department.

The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence in English Language and Literature while supporting strong academic progress.

The school has an established and experienced staff body and prides itself on providing a supportive, team-focused working environment. Staff are encouraged to share ideas, collaborate across departments and access opportunities for continued professional development.

The successful English Teacher will:

• Hold QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification
• Have strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature
• Be confident teaching English across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement
• Work collaboratively as part of an established English department
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
• Be available for 3 days per week
