About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and inspirational educational leader to take on a strategic Executive Headteacher role, leading a portfolio of specialist schools and driving outstanding outcomes for students with Special Educational Needs.
As Executive Headteacher, you will provide vision, direction and leadership across multiple schools, ensuring the highest standards of education, safeguarding, compliance and operational excellence. You will work closely with school leaders to create thriving learning environments where students can achieve their full potential whilst supporting the continued growth and success of the wider portfolio.
This role is ideal for a high-performing leader with a strong track record of school improvement, developing senior leadership teams, and delivering exceptional educational outcomes within complex educational settings.
Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, performance and growth of a portfolio of schools.

- Lead and inspire multiple school leadership teams to deliver outstanding specialist education and student outcomes.
- Set the vision, ethos and strategic direction across the portfolio, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, regulatory and quality standards.
- Monitor educational performance, student progress and school effectiveness, implementing improvement strategies where required.
- Develop and coach Headteachers and senior leaders, building high-performing teams and succession plans.
- Oversee curriculum quality, teaching and learning standards, and staff development across all schools.
- Lead safeguarding across the portfolio, ensuring robust systems, policies and practices are embedded.
- Manage financial performance, budgets and resources to deliver sustainable, high-quality provision.
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, families and other key stakeholders.
- Support student referrals, placement suitability and capacity planning to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Champion the reputation and growth of the schools through stakeholder engagement, marketing and community partnerships.
- QTS and relevant leadership experience required.
- Substantial senior leadership experience within education, ideally including multi-site or portfolio leadership.
- A proven track record of driving school improvement and delivering positive inspection outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge of SEN and specialist education provision.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, regulatory and quality standards.
- Experience leading and developing senior leadership teams to achieve outstanding performance.
- Excellent financial and commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to analyse performance data and translate insight into measurable improvement.
- A collaborative, resilient and solutions-focused leadership style.
We are an independent specialist sixth form college that caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. We offer a unique and stimulating environment where every student is able to make outstanding progress in their personal development and enjoy success in their education.
Heath Farm College is situated in Maidstone and has capacity to support up to 58 students. The provision facilitates a professional post 16 provision for students with EHCPs who are not ready for a large FE college or large school/academy 6th Form provision.
