The RoleLooking for variety, ownership, and a clear path for progression?
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role for a Bid Writer who wants to do more than just manage templates. Working directly with directors, architects, surveyors, and engineers across our 14 regional offices, you will own the bid process from initial kickoff to final submission.
You’ll translate technical expertise into clear, persuasive proposals across a broad portfolio of property and construction projects. Plus, as Bailey Partnership continues to expand, this role will naturally adapt alongside our growth - giving you genuine room to broaden your scope, shape your responsibilities, and step up over time.
Key Responsibilities- Bid Preparation & Writing:
Write clear, structured, and compliant tender responses, PQQs, and proposal documents tailored to specific client requirements. - Pre-tender:
Assist with the managing and monitoring of tender portals and tender alert notifications. Update our internal CRM system with bid status as required - Technical
Collaboration:
Work directly with internal teams across our offices to translate technical details, designs, and engineering methods into well-structured text. - Process Management:
Keep bid schedules on track from kickoff through to final submission, ensuring internal reviews happen on time and deadlines are met. - Content Management:
Help maintain and improve our library of standard bid text, staff CVs, project case studies, and corporate policies. - Continuous Improvement:
Review post-submission client feedback to help refine future proposals.
- Industry
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience writing bids within the built environment (construction, architecture, engineering, or surveying). - Communication:
Strong written English with a clear, concise writing style and thorough proofreading skills. - Work Ethic:
Proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities under tight time frames. - Software:
Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
