We are looking for a Land Surveyor to join our well‑established team based at our London office, although other locations in the South East and remote arrangements can be considered.
SLR has a busy, well‑established Land Survey team that provides geomatic surveying across the country. The team works on diverse contracts for mineral/waste operators, residential/commercial developers, civil/petrochemical/power engineering firms and more. You will be part of this team and will also have the opportunity to work with CAD specialists, GIS analysts, data scientists and developers within our wider Geospatial and Data Solutions team.
Responsibilities- Assist surveyors on a variety of fieldwork projects throughout the United Kingdom according to briefs and specifications.
- Work independently and collaboratively on projects from start to finish, demonstrating initiative and responsibility to deliver high‑standard surveys.
- Process and produce survey plans in LSS and AutoCAD, including volumetric calculations and reports.
- Proven surveying experience using GNSS and total stations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and LSS.
- Experience with Word, Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Hardworking and self‑motivated.
- Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive approach to learning and contributing to team development.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors over difficult terrain, UK wide.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work away from home as projects dictate.
- Experience with cross‑functional teams or stakeholder engagement.
- Interest in mentoring others and knowledge sharing within a team.
- Experience with UAV surveying.
- ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
- QGIS.
- Pix4D.
- CSCS card.
- Sentinel card.
