Job Title – Electrical Design Engineer
Duration – 3 Months (potential for extension)
Working Model – Fully on-site (Kent)
Hourly Rate – £30p/hour
Electrical Design Engineer OverviewThe Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing electrical systems for automated end-of-line and robotic packing equipment used within food manufacturing environments. The role supports projects from initial concept through build, installation and commissioning.
Responsibilities- Designing electrical systems for automated and robotic packing machinery
- Producing electrical schematics, panel layouts and cable schedules
- Supporting projects from concept through build, installation and commissioning
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in electrical design for machinery or automated systems
- Must have experience with Beckhoff control systems (PLC, I/O, automation platforms)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team
