As a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead electrical building services design on a range of projects including education, commercial, residential and public sector developments.The roleThe Senior Associate Electrical Engineer will manage and deliver electrical design from concept through to construction. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, project managers and clients to ensure fully coordinated, practical and compliant designs.
You will provide technical leadership, support project delivery, guide junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the electrical design team.Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical design across multiple complex projects
- Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
- Ensure compliance with UK standards and regulations
- Coordinate with other design disciplines to deliver fully integrated building services solutions
- Liaise with clients, contractors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Undertake site visits, surveys and design inspections
- Support sustainable and low carbon design strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Input to project planning, programmes and fee management
You will bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Extensive experience delivering electrical designs on complex building projects
- Chartered status or actively working towards it
- Strong knowledge of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and Wiring Regulations
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members
- A collaborative approach and focus on practical, sustainable solutions
