Senior Health & Safety Advisor – Civil Engineering

£60,000 - £75,000 + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Benefits

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the South East and wider UK.

This role offers the opportunity to take a lead position on large-scale projects while supporting and mentoring HSE teams across a portfolio of civil engineering schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead health and safety standards across major infrastructure projects

• Provide technical HSE advice and support to site management teams

• Manage and mentor Health & Safety Advisors

• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews

• Support incident investigations and corrective actions

• Review and approve RAMS, permits and project documentation

• Promote behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement

• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)

• IOSH membership with progression towards Chartered status

• Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects

• Experience managing or mentoring HSE personnel

• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Willingness to travel and stay away when required

Package:

• £60,000 - £75,000 basic salary
