Overview
Accounts Payable Clerk (Maternity Cover) - Maidstone
12 months Fixed-Term contract
Working within our Shared Services function, our Accounts Payable Clerks ensure supplier payments, reconciliations, and financial data stay accurate and up to date. You'll handle supplier queries, support the PTP team, and help keep the end-to-end AP process running smoothly in a collaborative finance environment.

- Support the PTP Team Leader with all Accounts Payable tasks to ensure accuracy and timely processing
- Manage supplier queries via email and telephone in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Process invoices for payment including authorisation, coding and data entry
- Request and chase missing invoices to maintain accurate records
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations to reduce risk and ensure accuracy
- Arrange payment runs and support monthly/annual financial deadlines
- Create and maintain Creditor Master Data accounts
- Deliver excellent customer service via the Helpdesk, resolving queries promptly
- Support the preparation of reports, reconciliations and documentation for audit and compliance
- Help maintain a tidy, organised and professional working environment Adhere to company policies, TCF principles, core values and Health & Safety standards

- Previous Accounts Payable or finance experience is essential
- Strong organisational skills with high levels of accuracy
- A professional, calm approach when handling queries or challenging situations
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Methodical, detail-focused and proactive
- Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
