My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Collections to lead their collections department (20 in the team) with energy and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire collections process, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding accounts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive collection strategies to maximize recovery rates and reduce overdue accounts Lead, motivate, and manage the collections team to achieve departmental goals through coaching and performance management Oversee data entry processes related to accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in record-keeping Coordinate with accounts payable teams to streamline payment processes and resolve discrepancies efficiently Conduct analysis of collection data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements Utilize accounting software to monitor account statuses, generate reports, and track collection progress Engage in telemarketing efforts when necessary to follow up on overdue accounts or negotiate payment arrangements Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients, ensuring clear, respectful, and effective interactions Skills Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop actionable insights Proficiency in accounting software and familiarity with financial services industry standards Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for outbound and inbound calls Experience in accounts payable processes and managing complex receivables workflows Ability to perform meticulous data entry while maintaining high accuracy levels Knowledge of telemarketing techniques for effective client engagement in collections efforts Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and goal achievement
