As our services continue to grow, we're excited to welcome a Healthcare Scientist or Radiographer with experience in diagnostic radiology and mammography physics to our expanding Radiation Physics team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a department that underpins safe, high-quality imaging across the Trust and beyond.

Our Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Safety Sections ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff who come into contact with ionising and non-ionising radiation, including X-ray, CT, ultrasound and lasers.
Main duties of the jobIn this varied and rewarding position, you will:
Provide high-quality scientific support to the Trust and external partners.
Participate in the delivery of mammography physics services to NHSBSP screening centres across Kent and symptomatic breast imaging units across the South East.
Act as the site lead for NHSBSP services supported by our department.
Contribute to the quality assurance programme for a wide range of diagnostic radiology equipment, including CT, general X-ray, angiography and fluoroscopy.
What Our Radiation Physics Team Delivers:
You'll be part of a highly skilled team providing a broad range of safety and technical services, including:
Performance checks and quality control testing on diagnostic X-ray equipment
Development and maintenance of local rules, risk assessments and radiation safety documentation
Expert laser safety advice
Management of the personal dosimetry service for staff across MTW and partner organisations
Instrument calibration services
Support for radioactive waste and source management
Training and education for clinical and technical staff
You'll also provide specialist guidance on legislation, national standards and compliance, helping departments maintain safe and effective practice.
