Outskirts of Rochester, Kent

Salary: £34,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours:

Permanent, 44 hours per week, covering 5 days a week (2 days on the floor and 3 days supernumerary)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Care Manager to join our team, in a well established care service on the outskirts of Rochester. The ideal candidate will be an existing Deputy Manager with substantial experience in a residential or home care setting. You will possess strong knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and have excellent staff management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Care Manager in the daily operations of the care facility.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and promote best practices in care provision.
- Support and manage the care team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized care plans for residents.
- Monitor and review care plans, making adjustments as necessary.
- Handle administrative duties and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Provide high-quality care and support on the floor as required.
- Act as a point of contact for residents and their families, addressing any concerns or queries.

Qualifications and

Experience:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential or home care setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
