Shifts: 5 Hours Per day between the hours of 08.00 and 20.30 on a rota basis
Salary: £16,000 per annum

Due to the launch of new services and an increase in patient activity we have exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Care Support Worker to join our Cardiology Team. You will be a key member of the cardiorespiratory team, supporting trained Physiologists providing cardiac diagnostic tests such as 24hr and 7-day Holter monitors, 24hr blood pressure monitoring, angiograms and pacing, in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
This role is ideally suited to a Care Support Worker who is completely Patient Focused, with a caring and compassionate attitude who would like to progress their career in a fast‑paced cardiology department.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Care Support Worker you will:
- Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
- Work as a team assisting with the day to day running of clinics
- Chaperone patients in clinics
- Monitor patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight prior to clinic appointments
- Ensure that your own professional development is maintained and enhanced
- Have a good standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills
- Hold a Care Certificate
- Have proven communication skills
- Demonstrate basic IT skills
- Have experience working in the Care Sector as either a Care Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Clinical Support Worker
- Hold and NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Have experience working as a Care Assistant, Clinical Supprot Worker or Care Support Worker in an acute healthcare setting
- Have experience undertaking ECG's
- Have Phlebotomy experience
