We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Indemnity Underwriter to join an ambitious specialist insurance business where your expertise, ideas and commercial insight will genuinely make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

• Shape new products – contribute to the development of new insurance products, underwriting solutions and opportunities to expand into new markets.
• Influence underwriting strategy – help develop underwriting appetite, pricing structures and commercially focused solutions.
• Handle complex risks – take ownership of high-value and technically challenging legal indemnity cases, exercising delegated authority.
• Drive business growth – identify commercial opportunities, improve conversion and support profitable premium growth.
• Build key relationships – work closely with brokers, insurers and clients, becoming a trusted technical and commercial partner.
• Be the technical expert – act as a senior referral point, sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experienced Underwriters.
• Make a real impact – collaborate with senior stakeholders to improve processes, develop innovative solutions and influence the future direction of the underwriting function.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 years' experience in Legal Indemnity Insurance underwriting, including complex commercial risks.
• Strong technical knowledge of defective title insurance.
• Experience working with delegated underwriting authority.
• A commercially minded Underwriter who can balance risk with business opportunity.
• Confidence dealing with brokers, insurers and senior stakeholders.
• Someone who enjoys finding solutions, challenging existing approaches and contributing fresh ideas.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and decision-making skills.

Experience in probate, estate administration or other specialist insurance products would be advantageous.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (one-hour unpaid lunch break).

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time.
