Supply Chain Planner

Are you an organised and analytical Supply Chain professional looking for your next contract opportunity? Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner to join a fast-paced business on a 3-month temporary basis, supporting the planning and coordination of supply chain activities to ensure products are delivered efficiently and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing demand, inventory, and supplier performance.

Day-to-Day of the role:

  • Managing demand and supply plans to ensure stock availability.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential shortages or excess stock.
  • Raising and tracking purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Coordinating with procurement, production, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Analysing sales forecasts and supporting inventory planning activities.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Producing reports and providing planning insights to stakeholders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
  • Maintaining accurate planning data within ERP and planning systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Planner, Demand Planner, Production Planner, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain planning tools.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
