Cleaning Duties:

Location: Maidstone, Swanley, Ashford, and surrounding towns in Kent & South East London.

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible).

Pay Rate: £11.50 - £12.50 per hour (with review after 6 months).

Driving Requirement: Must have your own vehicle and a valid UK driving licence. Mileage allowance at 30p per mile.

About the Role: Rent In Kent is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Housekeeping and Cleaning Assistant to help maintain and service our residential and short‑let properties across Kent and South East London. Your role will be key in ensuring our properties remain clean, welcoming, and ready for tenants and guests at all times.

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties to keep properties spotless and well‑organised.
• Dust, polish, and clean surfaces, furniture, and lighting fixtures.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors to maintain hygiene and shine.
• Vacuum and clean carpets to keep them in top condition.
• Make beds neatly and present rooms attractively for guests and tenants.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms (toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and floors).
• Replenish amenities such as soaps, shampoos, and other essentials.
• Dispose of rubbish and recyclables responsibly, promoting eco‑friendly practices.
• Maintain and restock coffee bars, wet bars, and kitchen areas.
• Wash, dry, and iron linens, towels, and bedding.
• Support with garden tidying, weed clearance, and outdoor cleaning as needed.

• Proven experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or maintenance.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in keeping spaces immaculate.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Friendly, professional attitude towards tenants and guests.
• Ability to work under time constraints (especially around check‑ins/check‑outs).
• Own vehicle and valid UK driving licence (essential).
