The Role This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of a mixed property portfolio. Youll act as a key point of contact for tenants and contractors, ensuring properties are well maintained, compliant, and running efficiently. The role combines practical maintenance duties with coordination and administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being both on-site and involved in the wider management of assets.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Maidstone, with travel required across local sites.
Key Responsibilities Day-to-day management of commercial properties and sites Acting as the main point of contact for tenants and customers Opening, securing, and monitoring buildings and site access Carrying out regular site inspections and utility readings Coordinating contractors and sourcing quotes for works Performing minor repairs and general maintenance tasks Overseeing site upkeep (cleaning, communal areas, general presentation) Ensuring properties are compliant with health & safety regulations Managing tenant queries and resolving issues efficiently Supporting with service charge costs, utilities, and reporting Assisting with lettings, including management of vacant units Ensuring lease obligations and payment terms are upheld Responding to out-of-hours alarms when required Supporting with general administration and reporting Desirable Skills & Experience Previous experience in property or facilities management Hands-on maintenance experience across a range of disciplines Strong customer service and tenant-facing skills Good understanding of building compliance and site safety Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Proactive and practical approach with strong problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence
Preferred Qualifications Legionella awareness certification
Experience with water temperature monitoring and compliance PAT Testing qualification Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge Carpentry/joinery experience Painting and decorating within commercial environments Salary & Benefits Salary up to £35k Full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday, 07:30am 04:30pm Travel between local sites (transport provided during working hours) Stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive business
