We’re looking for a confident, hands‑on Depot Manager to take ownership of one of our PPG Refinish Distribution Depots.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an operation, leading people, solving problems and building strong relationships with customers. You’ll have responsibility for the day‑to‑day performance of the depot, ensuring it operates safely, efficiently and commercially, while delivering the high level of service our customers expect.

No two days will be quite the same. You’ll:

• Lead and motivate your depot team, creating clear goals and helping people perform at their best.
• Own the customer experience, building relationships, resolving issues and identifying opportunities to grow sales.
• Drive depot performance, monitoring KPIs and taking action where improvement is needed.
• Manage stock effectively, with a proactive focus on inventory, including slow‑moving and obsolete products.
• Keep safety at the forefront, ensuring the depot operates in line with EHS requirements and company standards.
• Oversee delivery operations, making sure vehicles are safe, compliant and used effectively.
• Manage and develop your people, including performance, recruitment, resource planning and day‑to‑day HR processes.
• Work closely with colleagues across Sales, Logistics, Customer Service and Technical teams to deliver the best possible result for our customers.

We’re looking for someone who is a natural leader and takes ownership. You’ll be comfortable making decisions, setting priorities and getting involved when needed.

• Previous experience leading and developing a small team.
• A strong customer service and commercial mindset.
• Sales or face‑to‑face customer experience.
• Experience with in operations, distribution, warehousing or a similar environment.
• Good inventory and stock management knowledge.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence using systems such as Microsoft 365, WMS, CRM and ERP platforms.
• A proactive, positive approach to problem solving.
• An understanding of operational, financial and EHS compliance.
• A valid clean driving licence. (Max 3 points)

Experience with in automotive refinish, coatings, bodyshop distribution or a related industry would be advantageous, but just as important is your ability to lead people, put customers first and take accountability for your operation.

This isn't a role where you'll simply keep things ticking over.
