Cnc Machinist

Overview

CNC Machinist — Outskirts of Maidstone — upto £Neg + Generous Benefits — Monday to Friday (38 hrs/wk)

• The candidate will work within our tool-room department operating our CNC-controlled lathes and 2 mills to generate components required for tooling or directly by our customers.
• Most components are designed in-house and will require the successful candidate to use the 3D model to generate the machining code within Inventor CAM software, which feeds directly into the machines.
• You will also in collaboration with our design department aid in the design of any fixturing or jigs that may be required to allow the machining of the components.

• Min 2 years experience operating or programming CNC machines.
• Experience with CNC controllers.
• Design and manufacture of machine fixturing.
• Produce small, complex batches of components to high-quality standards.
• Some experience working from engineering drawings.
• Ability to work within a team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Experience with sliding head lathes would be advantageous.
• Be a team player and able to work to tight deadlines.
