Manufacturing Engineer

A great opportunity has arisen for a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to join a well‑established engineering business based in Maidstone, Kent.

This role would suit someone with a traditional engineering background — ideally having come up through an apprenticeship — who is looking to move into a position focused on driving manufacturing improvements across the business.

• Salary of £40,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
• The opportunity to make a real, hands‑on impact within an established engineering business
• A varied, practical role for someone who wants to combine engineering knowledge with process improvement

As Manufacturing Engineer, you'll get hands‑on with the manufacturing process, identifying and implementing improvements that boost efficiency, quality, and productivity across the site. This is a practical, floor‑based role for someone who understands manufacturing processes first‑hand and wants to use that knowledge to make things better.

We're keen to hear from candidates with:

• A traditional engineering background, ideally gained through an apprenticeship
• Hands‑on experience within a manufacturing environment, such as machining, fabrication, sheet metal, pressings, or tool making
• A genuine interest in manufacturing improvement and process development
• A practical, problem‑solving approach and the confidence to work directly on the shop floor
