The OpportunityMorgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in improving production performance, supporting new product introduction and driving continuous improvement across a modern manufacturing environment. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams, you will help maximise efficiency, introduce new equipment and processes, and ensure products transition smoothly into manufacture.
Key Responsibilities- Support production with technical problem solving and process improvements
- Identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Evaluate, source and introduce new machinery, tooling and equipment
- Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, routings and work instructions
- Manage manufacturing improvement and CAPEX projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and productivity
- Contribute to research, development and innovation activities
- Promote high standards of quality, compliance and health & safety
You will have previous experience within a manufacturing process engineering role and a strong track record of improving production processes. Ideally you will possess:
- An Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience introducing new products and processes into production
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Experience working within ISO 9001 environments
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
