We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support a busy operational business delivering field–based services across the region.
Immediate start needed!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional who enjoys a hands–on role, working closely with operational teams to drive compliance, improve standards, and promote a positive safety culture. Candidates from utilities, construction, infrastructure, rail, highways, facilities management, or other operational environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day–to–day Health & Safety and compliance activities across operational teams.
- Undertake regular site visits, behavioural safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Review and monitor RAMS, safe systems of work, and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and completed.
- Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to managers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety records, audit reports, and supporting documentation.
- Support stakeholder engagement on Health & Safety and compliance matters.
- Ensure training, competency, and certification records remain up to date.
- Champion a positive safety culture while maintaining a practical and commercially aware approach.
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or Senior Health & Safety Advisor role.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
- Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence safe working practices across operational teams.
- Experience with in a field–based operational environment is essential.
