We're looking for a Store Manager Designate to join Vision Express in Kent on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious retail manager ready to develop into a Store Manager role within one of the UK's leading optical retailers.
As a Store Manager Designate, you'll support stores across Kent, gaining valuable experience in retail operations, people leadership, sales performance, and customer experience. Through a structured development programme, you'll build the skills and confidence needed to become a successful Store Manager.
About the Role
As a Store Manager Designate, you'll:

• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing retail teams

• Drive sales performance and commercial growth

• Deliver outstanding customer service and patient care

• Manage store operations, compliance, and company standards

• Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, and performance

• Work alongside experienced Store Managers and regional leaders
You'll gain exposure to a variety of store environments, helping you develop into a well-rounded retail leader while preparing for your own Store Manager opportunity.

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail management, assistant manager, or store manager experience

• Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills

• Experience coaching and developing colleagues

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• A customer-focused approach and passion for retail

• Flexibility to travel across the Kent region
