This delivery water contractor are seeking a technically minded professional who can combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness. The successful candidate will provide technical advice and support across a range of wastewater and potable water products, working closely with the Sales Administrator and Sales Team to ensure quotations and customer enquiries are handled accurately and efficiently. This is a customer-facing and commercially focused role requiring strong communication, organisational skills and technical understanding.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Presentations
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations (face-to-face or virtual) to explain products and services to customers.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical input to support quotation preparation.
- Ensure solutions are technically accurate, feasible and correctly costed.
- Key Account Management
- Act as primary point of contact for service contract customers (primarily housing providers).
- Collate reports and KPI information.
- Respond to technical enquiries and customer issues.
- Coordinate responses by liaising with operational staff, planning and sales teams to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Customer & Engineering Support
- Work alongside customers and engineers to assess equipment needs.
- Ensure products meet system and performance requirements.
- Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer demands.
- Assist with negotiations on contract terms to secure orders while ensuring compliance with product standards and delivery expectations.
- Product Development
- Provide input on product improvements.
- Recommend new and enhanced products to customers.
- Problem Solving
- Support customers with product-related technical issues.
- Ensure effective resolution and high levels of satisfaction.
- Customer Service & Marketing Support
- Assist the Marketing Manager with sourcing material for social media content (approx. 3-4 posts per month).
- Issue customer feedback forms following site visits and follow up on negative responses.
- Submit monthly feedback summary reports to the Bids and Proposals Manager.
- Enquiry Management
- Monitor the shared sales inbox.
- Direct enquiries appropriately and gather initial information required for quotations.
- Service & Maintenance Agreements (CSM)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Issue new service and maintenance agreements as required.

Capable of managing multiple tasks within a fast-changing environment.
Desirable
- Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of potable water booster sets and small domestic wastewater treatment plants. - Sales
Experience:
Demonstrable experience in technical sales (wastewater solutions advantageous). - Experience with in the wastewater industry.
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and ability to generate data reports (training available if required).
