A specialist engineering business in Kent is expanding its commercial team following sustained growth, increased international activity, and major investment into new business development across Europe.
They’re looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Account Manager who can build relationships, win new business, and manage complex customer requirements in a fast-paced technical environment.
This is not a call-centre sales role.
You’ll be working with customers across engineering, manufacturing and scientific sectors, helping deliver tailored technical solutions rather than pushing off-the-shelf products.
The role combines:
- Account management
- Technical sales
- International customer visits
- Trade shows and exhibitions across Europe
You’ll inherit existing accounts, but there’s a strong expectation around business development, growth and commercial activity. The business wants someone proactive. Someone who enjoys building relationships, asking questions, spotting opportunities and getting out in front of customers.
The environment itself is ambitious, collaborative and energetic. They’ve built a strong sales culture internally and performance is rewarded properly.
What they’re looking for:
- Experience with in technical, engineering, manufacturing or scientific sales
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working towards targets and KPIs
- Commercial resilience and self-motivation
- Somebody who enjoys a visible, fast-moving environment
- Interest in engineering, science or technology
What matters is attitude, communication ability and experience operating in technical or consultative sales environments.
