About the Opportunity
As a Senior National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships across the retail and wholesale market. Combining strong commercial acumen with exceptional relationship management skills, you will play a key role in driving sustainable revenue and profit growth.
Responsibilities- Develop commercial strategies for key national accounts
- Lead negotiations on pricing and commercial agreements
- Ensure successful delivery of promotional and growth plans
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams and act as the vital link between customers and the wider business
- Develop and execute strategic account plans and Joint Business Plans
- Identify growth opportunities through market trends, customer data, and commercial insights
- Lead commercial negotiations relating to pricing, promotions, and contractual agreements
- Manage account P&L performance and drive profitable growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, and Finance teams to deliver outstanding customer results
- Coordinate promotions, product launches, and other key commercial initiatives
- Monitor performance, analyse KPIs, and provide regular updates to leadership
You are an experienced account manager with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record within FMCG, retail, or a similar industry. You are analytical, results‑oriented, and capable of building long‑lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities.
Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager within FMCG, retail, or a similar commercial environment. Strong negotiation skills with experience managing complex commercial agreements. Experience managing P&Ls and making commercially sound business decisions. Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to turn data into actionable plans. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, entrepreneurial, and results‑driven approach.
