Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Drivers for a leading home delivery operation based in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and customer-focused team offering ongoing work, weekly pay, and full training and support.

Pay Rates

£18.38 per hour
£27.56 per hour after 48 hours worked
Weekly PAYE pay
Holiday pay accrued separately

The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll work alongside a dedicated Driver's Mate, delivering products directly to customers' homes. You'll be the face of the business, providing a professional, friendly, and reliable service while ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy being active and working as part of a team.

Your Responsibilities

Completing multi-drop home deliveries
Delivering exceptional customer service at every stop
Working closely with your Driver's Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
Making customer pre-delivery calls where required
Completing Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately
Safely unloading goods into customers' homes
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring legal compliance
Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
Shift Information

Flexible shift patterns available
Weekend working may be required
This is not a standard Monday to Friday role, so flexibility is essential
Ongoing, full-time work with regular shifts
What We're Looking For

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category

C) licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Digital Tachograph Card
No DR, CD or IN endorsements
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and well organised
Ability to successfully complete theory and practical driving assessments
Previous multi-drop or home delivery experience is beneficial but not essential
