Seeking a well-organized individual to perform tasks in Payroll, Purchasing, and other Business Office functions.
Qualifications- Associate degree or comparable level of related school business office experience preferred but not required.
- Fingerprinting and background check (CHRC authorization) through the State of Maine Department of Education is a state requirement.
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Business Office including providing administrative and organizational support to the Finance Coordinator. The job includes:
- Preparation and reconciliation of the district's bi-weekly payrolls.
- Purchasing/Bidding, ongoing maintenance of employee files.
- Employee will be cross trained in other business office duties.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills - required.
- Must be able to design and maintain Excel spreadsheets/Google sheets and manage documents using MS Office and Google Docs.
- Individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and be a team player.
- Greet and direct incoming visitors and promptly notify appropriate staff upon their arrival.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail to assigned staff.
- Records cash receipts.
- Assists in the budget process.
- Assists other departments as needed.
