Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Department Director to promote healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development, serving as a role model for staff and participants.
- Create press releases, media advisories, and community announcements; develop signage, flyers, and digital materials to drive participation and awareness.
- Collaborate with program directors, development staff, and executive leadership to align marketing efforts with organizational priorities.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, digital content, and promotional collateral; manage the YMCA's social media and digital content presence, including weekly newsletters.
- Manage promotional and communication needs for YMCA events and programs and support fundraising campaigns.
- Plan and execute community engagement and recognition events.
- Track marketing metrics and engagement analytics to assess effectiveness and inform strategy.
- Maintain organized content archives, photo libraries, and communication records.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with media outlets and community partners.
- Gather and share impact stories that highlight the YMCA’s work and community benefit.
- Ensure consistent use of the YMCA brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all communications, complying fully with branding guidelines.
- Act as a Mandated Reporter: recognize signs of abuse or neglect and report them to the supervisor and appropriate authorities.

- Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work is performed at a community campus that serves all people. It can be occasionally stressful, requiring the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and cope with pressures. The campus facility is open early mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the job may require attendance outside of regular business hours (9 am – 5 pm). Noise levels vary.
Essential Experience & Skill Requirements- 5–7 years of experience in a related field.
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Team player with superb interpersonal skills; works positively and amicably with co‑workers and the public, resolving conflicts as needed.
- Self‑starter who can multi‑task, lead others, work independently, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast‑paced environment.
- General computer skills and ability to learn new software; proficient in Adobe Suite Products.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; personal vehicle preferred.
- Knowledge and proficiency with social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to proofread and edit social media content for accuracy and clarity.
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
