This is a full‑time role offering 37.5 hours per week and all requests to work flexibly will be considered, allowing for business needs, and reviewed annually. The salary will be pro‑rata where part‑time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the jobDPHC is a vibrant and fast‑paced organisation which aims to provide the very best primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces and other entitled personnel. DPHC delivers a clinical service in accordance with NHS Standards and MoD policies.
The primary purpose of the successful candidate will be to provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.
Job responsibilities- Ensure surgeries are prepared appropriately for the day’s patients in accordance with current regulations.
- Carry out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre‑use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies.
- Prepare, mix and handle dental materials in accordance with manufacturers instructions, adhering to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations and Safety Data sheets.
- Meet the needs of patients by monitoring, supporting and reassuring everyone according to their specific needs, providing appropriate advice when required. This may include recognising and interpreting behaviours, especially those associated with anxious patients, dealing with them accordingly and developing/maintaining communication with patients about difficult matters and/or in difficult situations.
