Ed Tech II: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Two [2] years of post‑secondary education or a combination equivalent to 60 hours of approved study in an educationally related field; or for vocational education, two [2] years of paid applied employment within the field of assignment. Educational Technician II Authorization (022), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate
Ed Tech III: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Must have 90 hours of approved college credits. Educational Technician III Authorization (023), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate
Contracted Days: 5 days per week / 7 hours per day
School Days: 175 school days
Location: Boothbay Region High School
Date Position Available: 2025/2026 School Year
Position will remain open until filled
- Appropriate State of Maine Ed Tech Certification through the State of Maine Department of Education.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Dedicated to meeting the academic and social needs of our students.
- Experience working with students with a variety of special needs is essential.
- The ability to provide support through a positive and caring approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible, organized, and dependable
- Self-motivation and an independent work ethic
- Ability to build positive relationships with families
- Strong collaboration skills and effective problem solver
- Support students in both the general education setting and the special education setting in either a one‑to‑one model or in small groups
- Work closely with the classroom teacher, case manager, and other related service providers to deliver instruction as needed to implement the students Individualized Education Plans
- Help create student work materials according to their plans
- Accurately record data on child’s progress
