Old Orchard Beach High School

Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, Old Orchard Beach High School is a 200 student campus. We are looking for an excellent Art Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Citizenship, residency or work visa
• Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./fingerprinting
• Maintains or is eligible for Maine Department of Education Teaching Certificate

• Establishes appropriate instructional goals and related objectives consistent with the system wide curriculum.
• Prepares instructional plans and materials incorporating principles of effective instruction.
• Creates, selects or modifies instructional plans and materials to accommodate learner differences.
• Provides a clear description of the learning task and its contents.
• Monitors student understanding and re--teaches as necessary.
• Communicates oral and written information effectively.
• Fosters a classroom culture of caring and respect.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate learner behavior.
• Establishes and maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning.
