The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Special Ed 4‑6 Resource Teacher at The Guy

E. Rowe Elementary School in Norway, ME. This position is to start at the 2025/26 School year.

E. Rowe is a community school located in the heart of Norway. We seek educators who work collaboratively on shared goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidates must hold a valid Maine certification 282 or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s).

Work Schedule:

180 days contract

MSAD #17 offers a robust employee benefits package for full‑time employees, including: health insurance with 80% of the premium paid by the employer (with up to 100% if both spouses work in the district); dental, vision, Group Life Insurance; flexible spending and dependent care accounts;
Maine Public Employee Pension, 403(b) retirement plan eligibility; 15 paid sick days per year; and tuition reimbursement.

* In addition to the base salaries above, Special Education positions receive the following annual supplemental stipends:

  • Day Treatment Teachers - $4,500
  • Functional Life Skills Teachers - $4,400
  • Social Skills Teachers - $3,400
  • Resource Room Teachers - $2,000
  • Social Workers - $4,450

OXFORD HILLS REGION

The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway, South Paris, West Paris, Oxford, Waterford, Harrison, Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU
10 School District towns of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

The Oxford Hills offer a variety of outdoor resources for anyone wishing to enjoy the region, whatever the season. The area boasts more than ten lakes and ponds for outdoor recreation, a land trust with hundreds of acres for skiing, snowshoeing, and is in close proximity to several downhill skiing areas!
