RLC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the growing civil/structural engineering team. This position involves work on electric power delivery and renewable generation projects, including structural steel and foundation design. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to work within a multi-disciplinary team, and have experience with steel buildings and masonry structures.

• Prepare plans and specifications for structures and foundations in electric substations, transmission lines, BESS plants, and wind/solar generation plants.
• Develop design criteria, calculations, reports, and other documentation.
• Provide peer reviews of work by other staff members.
• Lead structural engineering efforts on project teams and serve as engineer-of-record.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Prepare proposals and engineering estimates.

• Assist project management with schedule, budget, and quality control.
• Train and mentor junior staff members.
• Develop and maintain internal design tools, templates, and procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school;
  Master’s in structures is a plus.
• At least seven years of experience in structural design.
• Licensed professional engineer, willing to obtain licenses in other states as needed.
• Knowledge of structural analysis, steel system design, and foundation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Mathcad, RISA suite (or similar software), and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Based in New England.
