• Identify scope of work and perform quantity takeoff from RFQ information for piping and mechanical systems.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure estimated materials are in compliance.
• Solicit pricing from material vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with other team members for larger multi‑discipline estimates.
• Ensure compliance with Cianbro QA/QC and safety standards as well as client and industry requirements.
• Ensure estimates are complete, well organized, and ready for review by management.
• Develop project schedules and write execution plans as required.
• Research and develop innovative means and methods.
• Prepare proposals in conjunction with business development resources when necessary.
• On successful bids, coordinate with operations teams to provide thorough transition and turnover of the estimate.

• Five or more years of experience in a mechanical or industrial environment at the craft, craft‑supervision, or engineering level, or alternatively two years of similar estimating experience.
• Understanding of specific industry standards.
• Strong computer skills, familiarity with scheduling and estimating software (HCSS) and MS Office.
