Location: Orono
NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST INSPECTOR with Security Clearance
Perform nondestructive testing and analysis on mechanical components, piping systems, and structural assemblies. Inspect nuclear reactor plant components. Determine the internal integrity of main hydraulic systems, auxiliary sea water systems, and propulsion systems. Complete and maintain detailed test records that are subject to audit. Perform calibration and safety checks of test equipment prior to and after performance of inspections.
Requirements- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must obtain and maintain an interim or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) and a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Must wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, goggles, respirators, and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work may require travel and an uncommon tour schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
