Position Summary

The incumbent supervises, monitors, and controls an assigned pit section of one or more table games to ensure delivery of customer service according to corporate and property-specific standards while maintaining game integrity.

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrate proficiency for dealing required table games to company standards.
• Conduct dealer duties in compliance with systems of internal controls, minimum internal control standards, and SOPs.
• Control the pace of games, pay winning bets and collect losing bets per house rules, and handle cash transactions.
• Assume overall responsibility for a designated area or pit; safeguard company assets and direct dealers.
• Oversee and report unusual occurrences to the Shift Manager.
• Maintain awareness of all games in assigned locations to observe and act appropriately to suspicious or irregular activity.
• Ensure compliance of all dealers in the section with Table Games Department policies and procedures.
• Facilitate high standards of customer courtesy on each game and collaborate with casino staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring daily operations integrity and floor cleanliness.
• Maintain proper table bank through fills and credits.
• Learn additional games as required by management.

Job Qualifications

Sound technical understanding of game manuals, policies, procedures, and ability to identify various cheating techniques. Completion of multiple game training programs with resulting proficiency in several pit games. Requires at least two years of multi‑game dealing experience and ability to maintain confidential information.

Job Specifications

• Comprehensive knowledge and certification on all table games assigned.
• Title 31 and Problem Gambling certification; attend annual training.
• Knowledge of company, department policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Review player data and documentation; observe play of guests.
• Observe games and dealers from a distance (mid‑pit to table).
• Basic computer skills.
• Move efficiently around pit area to observe play at all tables.
• Minimum two years dealing experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities

• Attend required training sessions.
• Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter, or to consume alcohol or purchase tobacco in gambling areas.
• Know ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to department.
• Consult internal control procedures and policy manuals for guidance.
• Report illegal activity to Security or appropriate levels of management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, 10 lbs frequently, or negligible force constantly. Requires long periods of standing, walking, and reaching.
