Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner ~ Outpatient

Seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner interested in working in an Integrated Primary Care team to offer outpatient community mental health services. The PMHNP will collaborate with the Primary Care Providers to recognize, treat and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.

• Provides focused intervention for patients who are in need of mental health services.
• Provide counseling, rehabilitation and support services.
• Talk, listen, observe and analyze patients and suggest a suitable mode of treatment. They may refer to specialists for treatment.
• Suggest therapy in groups or individually as a mode of treatment.
• Provides feedback to the Primary Care Provider via documentation in Medical Record.

• Masters Degree Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess the ability to be credentialed and covered by FTCA Malpractice Coverage.
• Working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence based treatment for mental health issues.
