Job Description
Sign on Bonus: $13,500 for qualified experience
Job Summary / Responsibilities- Scrub all types of operating procedures; handle instruments, sutures, sponges; anticipate surgeon needs; maintain aseptic technique; assist as needed; report patient condition changes.
- Prepare for scheduled operative procedures by ensuring all equipment, instruments and supplies are available.
- Maintain a clean and safe OR environment; clean rooms, sterilize equipment; restock OR supplies; update surgical instrument sets; maintain power equipment and specialty instrumentation.
- Assist in patient transport to and from the OR; verify identity; assist with lifting and positioning.
- May serve as second circulator under RN direction; prepare materials for in‑service education; assist in testing new surgical products; provide input on policies and participate in committees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; must have completed an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent training/experience.
- Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists is highly desirable.
- One to two years of experience as a surgical technician preferred.
