What we’re looking for

We seek an exceptional individual to join as a Lead Housekeeper. This person will embody our values, maintain the highest cleanliness standards, and manage a small team of housekeepers in Bar Harbor, ME, working closely with local management.

This position is primarily part-time, with potential for full-time employment based on skills and company growth. Hours vary weekly and seasonally.

Compensation

• $22 - $23 per hour

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain properties following company standards using prescribed procedures and products
• Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface washing
• Move furniture as needed for cleaning
• Assist with laundry duties
• Create a welcoming environment for guests and owners
• Assist with scheduling, supply organization, and other tasks as assigned
• Support performance evaluations, problem resolution, and disciplinary actions with management
• Identify damages and create maintenance tickets
• Manage, mentor, and support a small team of housekeepers
• Ensure team follows routines and standards, inspect cleans, and perform touch-ups
• Maintain open communication with team and management
• Provide cross-coverage for managers as needed
• Collect trash, meet housekeeping metrics, and attend meetings
• Replenish supplies and maintain hot tubs (training provided)
• Perform other duties as needed

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred but training available
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform various movements
