At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a large or complex department within the company. This role manages strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, reliable, and technically mature.
Primary Responsibilities- Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility
- Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for areas of responsibility
- Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and ensures compatibility of all interfaces
- Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Eight (8) years of relevant experience, of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/managerial capacity
- Experience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills

- Lead the implementation and customization of Temenos Transact (T24) and related modules.
- Oversee migration from legacy systems to Temenos, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with Temenos consultants and internal stakeholders to configure, test, and deploy solutions.
- Technical Oversight
- Drive architectural decisions for integration with APIs, middleware, and third-party systems.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and compliance.
- Monitor system performance and scalability during and after transformation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business units, product owners, and project managers to align technical solutions with strategic objectives.
- Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
- Quality & Compliance
- Implement robust testing strategies for Temenos modules and customizations.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies.
Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
