Summary:The Warehouse Assistant provides materials, equipment, and supply support by directing receiving, warehousing, and providing distribution services.
Job Responsibilities:- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing inventory, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying legislation and advising management.
- Establish and monitor security procedures to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
- Control inventory levels through physical counts and data reconciliation.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning layouts, inspecting equipment, and managing repairs.
- Enhance professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.
- Quality assurance, inventory control, logistics, shipping, and customer service.
- Manage workflow to maximize efficiency and reduce overtime.
- Inspect and oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate logistics for product transportation, communicating with drivers and partners.
This is a full-time position with potential longer hours and weekend work.
CertificatesRequired:
- OSHA 10
- Forklift certification
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in construction technology.
- At least 2 years in a construction warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and construction management software.
- Knowledge of USDOT regulations and interstate trucking.
- Valid CDL-A driver’s license with a clean record.
- Experience in solar construction.
- High integrity and commitment to deadlines.
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and skid steer certifications.
