AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Chelsea facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will support and supervise the processes and procedures in the plant to maximize quality, safety, productivity, and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors operations for efficiency and safety. Ensures all regulatory requirements are met.
• Develops production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers.
• Performs the same work duties as those of whom they supervise and/or perform more difficult skilled tasks or assists in their performance.
• Oversees production staff, including training of personnel.
• Collaborates with production staff and upper management to solve work related problems.
• Resolves personnel problems and complaints when possible or refers them to higher levels of management for resolution.
• Monitors and records attendance and hours worked.
• Serves as the direct report for plant and lead personnel.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills needed.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs preferred.
• Knowledge of hand tools and equipment is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
