What You Will Do- This is a 3rd Shift Opportunity:
Monday - Friday, 5-8 hour shifts, 11:30pm-7:00am (7 hours paid for
8). - The position trains individuals with little or no machining or grinding background to become a Certified Operator.
- Employees selected will attend a 3‑week training program followed by 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training.
- Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or VTC’s for routine production operations on assemblies.
- Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and chamfering operations.
- Verify conformance of finished work against specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
- Maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
- Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing.

- High School or GED
- 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
- Ability to compute with decimals and fractions
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
