What You Will Do
  • This is a 3rd Shift Opportunity:
    Monday - Friday, 5-8 hour shifts, 11:30pm-7:00am (7 hours paid for
    8).
  • The position trains individuals with little or no machining or grinding background to become a Certified Operator.
  • Employees selected will attend a 3‑week training program followed by 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training.
  • Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or VTC’s for routine production operations on assemblies.
  • Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and chamfering operations.
  • Verify conformance of finished work against specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
  • Maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School or GED
Qualifications We Prefer
  • 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
  • Ability to compute with decimals and fractions
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
