What

You Will Do

This is a Weekend Shift 2 Opportunity. Friday - Sunday (3 x12 hour shifts) 6pm - 6:30am Friday - Sunday.

This position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or assembly experience the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.

Employees selected for this position will participate in 4-8 weeks of on‑the‑job training.

Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.

Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks.

Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.

Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).

Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel or others to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.

This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School or GED
Qualifications We Prefer
  • 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
  • Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
