Maintenance Manager Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for directing the functions of the maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, supervises maintenance staff, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Develop, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance programs to maintain production machinery and equipment.
- Supervise and coordinate employees engaged in maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operations.
- Direct the operation and maintenance of steam-generating boilers.
- Collaborate with Engineering on capital improvement projects from implementation through completion.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production departments to optimize plant performance and efficiency at the lowest cost.
- Inspect work in progress and completed jobs to ensure compliance with safety and workmanship standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in industrial maintenance or utilities operations.
- High Pressure Boiler Operator license required;
Stationary Steam Engineer license preferred (or willingness to obtain). - Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and maintenance-shop practices and techniques.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex equipment and tooling problems with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization, as well as with external vendors and regulatory agencies.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled machine tools and high-volume automated production equipment.
- Working knowledge of computers and maintenance management systems.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
